Melissa Morrissey, an Illinois Teacher of the Year Finalist who taught special education classes for over twenty two years. She brings her teaching experience and her love of psychology to her books, using her voice to educate, empower, and inspire children and the adults who read to them. Her husband [http://www.illinoisauthors.org/authors/Ted_Morrissey Ted], is also a teacher, writer and publisher. They have five children and two rescue dogs, Einstein and Nala.
