Dr. Richard Baer is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, and a member of numerous state and national medical societies. He served as President of the Illinois Psychiatric Society, Editor of its newsletter, and Chairman of its Ethics Committee. Dr. Baer was in private psychiatric practice for fourteen years and has treated a wide variety of general psychiatric and addictive disorders, and treated Karen Overhill (Switching Time) using psychoanalytically-informed psychotherapy with hypnosis.
