Ronald E. Schmitt was an architect in Chicago before becoming a faculty member Professor Emeritus of the School of Architecture, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is now a Professor Emeritus with the School of Architecture, UIUC. He has written several books on architecture.
