Maria received an MBA from the University of Illinois at Chicago in Marketing and International Business and completed the International Studies Program conducted in France and Belgium, ESC Le Harve-Caen Graduate Program. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree received in Economics and Psychology. She worked in the Chicago land area for large and small companies in a variety of industries including manufacturing, healthcare, pharmaceutical, consumer, advertising, market research and consulting. Currently, she is pursuing her dream of being an accomplished author and motivational speaker. As a first generation American born and raised in Chicago speaking English and Italian she was influenced by the city’s vast Italian-American community and sub-culture. Growing up, while attending Catholic schools, she was enrolled in Italian studies, participated in Italian holidays and events, and had many American-Italian friends. She met my husband in Chicago who coincidently has origins from the same, small town—Castel San Vincenzo, Italy. She and her husband have a son who continues the tradition of taking Italian classes in Illinois. We are active in the Chicago, Italian social groups along with many family and friends. This is her first inspirational book. She hopes to encourage others to tell stories and pass their ancestor’s wisdom to the next generation.
