Stringham worked at Peoria Camera Shop and later worked in the cafeteria at Methodist Medical Center from 1958 until retiring in 1978.r r He was a noted historian and expert on streetcars and the railroad industry. His published works include "76r Years of Peoria Street Cars," "Illinois Terminal: The Electric Years" and "Toledo, Peoria & Western: Tried,r Proven & Willing."
